Your laziness is defined by how much you allow yourself to stay put
Time and occassion allowed me to do commute again today, especially after going a bit over my budget for exclusive car rides during the holidays. I have learned how to appreciate commuting as I grew up with it. From going to school, to work, even to leisurely places because no one in the gang had cars, even though the commute here is hellish most of the times, not to mention somewhat dangerous for those who lacks spatial and mental awareness.
The commute today was pretty insightful. It gave me the idea that the only times I get to have time to step back and reflect are not during travels, holidays, or even work breaks. It's during commutes like the one today that I can assess what I need to do for the next few days or even hours.
While I do love working from home and my company is 100% fully remote, it seems like I need to get back into the habit of eventually changing work places from time to time -- thank the heavens for co-working spaces -- so I can get out so often and have assessments on a regular basis so I won't be stuck with my routine and procrastinate a lot.
Good talk, self.
